It is Possible to Stay Young Forever: Skin revitalization facts

Aging of the face is both an aesthetic and a clinical problem. Reduced dermal vascularization and decreased biosynthesis of important extracellular matrix components by fibroblasts result in loss of skin turgidity and elasticity. In particular, the amount of Hyaluronic acid is deeply impaired in mature skin.

Hyaluronic acid is the one component inside skin that is found in all kinds of mammals. This skin ingredient is at the highest levels in young children and gradually decreases with age. It is Hyaluronic acid that is responsible for keeping skin tight, glowing, soft, supple and healthy. The plump cheeks that we see in children is attributed to the high concentration of Hyaluronic acid in their skin. It provides nourishment to the skin and maintains the regular lifecycle of the skin. As time passes the concentration of Hyaluronic acid gradually reduces to nil and lines and wrinkles start appearing on the surface.

It's a pity that very little is known about Hyaluronic acid and its effect on the skin. Every year people spend thousands and millions on facials and spas that just take care of the skin from the outside. At best, they promote some exfoliation and polish the skin from outside.

The common creams and topical ointments available do very little to nourish the skin from inside. The skin has a natural lifecycle of 28 days after which old skin sheds off and new skin comes to take its place. Facials and common creams and lotions can only go so far as to polish the external part of the skin which gets shed off after every 28 days. No wonder, the effects start weaning right on the day you do the facial.

A subcutaneous injection of Hyaluronic acid can restore the lost Hyaluronic acid in the skin and replenish it from inside to make it glow like a child's skin. These injections are not very costly and can even be taken during office lunch break. Usually, a total of three injections need to be taken at an interval of 45 days and that is considered as one sitting.
